What would it mean to stop making ourselves smaller and build a space where no one else has to, either?

Opening the new JustArts gallery with work by artists who are incarcerated alongside Tulsa artists, TAKE UP SPACE makes room for different voices, experiences, and ways of seeing.

Refuse shame. Trust your own voice. Know what your work is worth. Let's make room to be complicated, to change, to take creative risks, and to be seen on your own terms.

Making room means more than opening doors. It means access, opportunity, recognition, support, and belonging. It means making space for one another, too.

Join us in celebrating JustArts’ new home and the opening of Take Up Space, featuring musical performances by Taylord and Lou Godwin, and poetry readings by Spoon Jackson and Quinn Carver Johnson. Refreshments will be provided.
